Where a client has substantially the same range of cargo interests and values within a sum insured range, it may be preferable to arrange cover on an Annual basis. Such risks must be underwritten on an individual basis as they typically fall outside the remit of Annual covers. Risk management plays an important role in underwriting Project Cargo risks therefore a risk assessment survey may be required as a condition of cover.

Delay in Start Up (DSU) covers the consequences of cargo loss/ damage of critical items intended for larger construction projects. It is usually placed in conjunction with Project Cargo insurance.

Stock Throughput Insurance (STP) is aimed particularly at firms that import/ export/ distribute merchandise. It covers all the inventory that is the subject of the client's trade i.e. raw materials, semi finished and finished products. The goods are covered at all times and at every stage of production although excluding damage caused by the production process (during transit, assembly or storage) ensuring seamless protection throughout the entire supply chain.
